Austin, Texas—LARGEST PROPERTY TAX CUT IN US HISTORY: FINALLY PASSED!

The bills are on their way to Governor Abbott’s desk. To provide perspective of how consequential this is, in 2019, the legislature dedicated $5 billion to property tax relief, which at the time was the largest amount ever. Today, we’ve committed more than $18 billion to this cause – a remarkable 260% increase. In 2021, the homestead exemption was $25k, and just two years later, that figure is increasing by 400% to $100k.
